Be a friend to droichead
By becoming a friend to droichead arts centre you will be contributing to the ongoing development of our artistic programme.
Vibrant and energetic, the arts scene in Drogheda is thriving! Droichead Arts Centre plays a key role in the provision of the arts. With over 300 events per year, Droichead offers a broad programme encompassing exhibitions, film, theatre, music, dance, literature and community arts. Droichead features a diverse programme with opportunities for all ages to access. We are supported by local artists, musicians, writers and actors attracting local, national and international talent.
Droichead Arts Centre comprises two centres - a 160 seater perfomance theatre and exhibition area in Stockwell Street (established in 1995), and studios, rehearsal space and meeting rooms in Barlow House (2002).
There are a number of highlights in our annual calendar including Drogheda Arts Festival, Leanbh Arts Festival for Children and Drogheda Traditional Music Weekend. Community involvement is central to Droichead's operation. An outreach programme is part of Droichead's ongoing work, and includes schools, youth groups, active retirement and disadvantaged groups.
Becoming a part of Droichead Arts Centre has never been easier. Our Friends programme is designed to keep you connected to the most exciting and anticipated theatrical, musical, dance, and performance events in Drogheda. Our Friends play an important part in supporting the Arts Centre of the future.
We invite you to join others who share your love of the arts through membership of the Arts Centre. Our suite of benefits is designed to enhance your visit, keep you informed in advance and bring you into the heart of the Droichead.
