Congratulations to Calipo Film and Picture Company

Everyone here in Droichead is thrilled for Calipo who won The Best Short Film Award at this years European Academy Awards (Europe's version of the Oscars) for their latest film 'Frankie'.

The glittering ceremony took place in Copenhagan, Denmark.

'It was amazing to be there among some of the biggest film makers and the most talented actors in the world. Dame Judi Dench was at the next table to us,' a delighted Darren told the Drogheda Independent.

Frankie beat off competition from 14 short films from all over Europe.
